The National Student Employment Association (NSEA) Annual Conference provides pertinent training through a variety of relevant sessions geared towards the participant’s professional development.

Call for Programs

Each year the Student Employment Conference is made possible thanks to the willingness of attendees to share their expertise in the form of a presentation.  All levels of experience are encouraged to submit a program idea.

New this year: We will be including poster presentations.  The poster presentations are intended to provide an overview of a program, research, or any best practice that you may have implemented. Your poster will then be visible throughout the conference for attendees to see.

Joyel Crawford - Speaker, Author, Consultant

Keynote Session: RISE and Shine Above it All

As a Certified Professional Career Coach, Certified Virtual Presenter and Leadership Development Consultant at Crawford Leadership Strategies, Joyel helps others expertly navigate every step of their career.  Through Crawford Leadership Strategies, she provides leadership consulting to provide organizations with the tools, knowledge, and skills to RISE and thrive in the global workplace. Crawford hosts a podcast called 'Career View Mirror' and is the author of an Amazon bestseller - "Show Your Ask: Using Your Voice to Advocate for Yourself and Your Career".

Prior to her consulting career, Joyel supported professionals within all functional areas for 18 years at Verizon Wireless. Throughout her career, she worked in Employee Relations, EEO/AA, Staffing, Professional Mentoring, and Learning & Development Training. She was a Manager of Management and Employee Development in charge of the Leadership Development programs for over 30k employees. She also has extensive experience as a keynote speaker, including notably with the U.S. Senate, The New York Times, ESPN, NYC Mayor's Office, and SHRM. Her career advice has been featured in Forbes, Essence, Newsweek, the Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, and the Chicago Tribute, among many more. Joyel is born and raised in New Jersey and graduated Cum Laude at Elon University with a Psychology degree and then obtained her MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a concentration in Management.
