Conference Attendance Support

Diversity Conference  Scholarship

NSEA is dedicated to promoting diversity. The Diversity Scholarship provides a professional development opportunity to an administrator from an underrepresented college & university of designated minority groups to attend the NSEA annual conference and SEE Training sessions. NSEA will fund one (1) Diversity Scholarship for an administrator to attend our conference and professional development training.

Joan Adams Campillo Memorial Conference Scholarship

This award was named in memoriam of Joan Adams Campillo, a longtime member of NSEA who showed outstanding commitment to the organization through service and dedication. She believed in the organization's commitment to the development of student employment professionals. NSEA funds five (5) Joan Adams Campillo Memorial Scholarships to selected Student Employment Professionals.

Student Employment Essentials (SEE) Training Scholarship

NSEA encourages the professional development of its members by offering Student Employment Essentials (SEE) training. These sessions are designed to teach the skills necessary to run a successful student employment office and provide a framework to sharpen existing skills and acquire new ones. The SEE Training Scholarship will cover the registration fees for four (4) recipients to participate in this year’s pre-conference SEE Training.

National Student Employment Week Grant

NSEA encourages each institution to participate in both National Student Employment Week (NSEW) and the Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) award to recognize the excellence of student employees. NSEA is pleased to offer financial assistance to institutions who wish to establish a NSEW program and/or SEOTY celebration on their campus, but lack the necessary funding to do so.

NSEA Sponsored Research Grant

The NSEA Sponsored Research Grant Program is intended to stimulate research in the field of student employment and to increase understanding of the characteristics, implications, and outcomes of the student employment experience. The program provides funding to support research in related areas such as student financial aid, career services, human resources, community service, cooperative education, and student development, with priority given to projects that directly evaluate student employment.
