The National Student Employment Association

The National Student Employment Association is an organization of several hundred professionals involved with programs for college students who work. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in administering student employment or hiring students. NSEA supports and promotes student employment through research, publications, professional development opportunities, and the open exchange of information.

Membership in NSEA - a comprehensive student employment association - is ideal for those looking for professional development in the field.

NSEA is a prime source for current information on federal student employment regulations and expert advice on the Federal Work-Study Program. Through annual conferences and workshops, members are offered training opportunities and the chance to tap into a nationwide network of experienced student employment colleagues. Similarly, employers have access to student employment professionals in the U.S. and abroad who can help facilitate their employment needs with well-trained, enthusiastic student employees.

NSEA Board of Directors Statement Regarding Social Injustice

We Stand. We Hear. We See.

At this time of national strife and soul searching following the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, and countless others, the NSEA Board of Directors has turned to reflection and purposeful solidarity with the Black community and the marginalized voices whose equity and freedoms are unjustly denied. We stand firm and in community against all forms of racism, whether overt, insidious, or structural, and we encourage our members to do the same. Please continue reading here.

 2020 NSEA|NEASEA Virtual Conference

Registration is now open for the 2020 Virtual NSEA|NEASEA Conference. The webinars are free and open to any NSEA or NEASEA member, but due to Zoom capacities, registration is required. Also, since many members are experiencing intense work commitments right now and the difference in time zones, you will notice a condensed program schedule. We hope to all be together again next year in person and look forward to seeing you at the virtual conference this year! Please check out our conference page here

 NSEA Together

We know change is not only necessary but that we also have an incredible NSEA community to support and advocate for that change on each of our campuses. To center our work on the strategic values of NSEA, we are sharing a new effort: NSEA Together.

Beginning on June 11th, and occurring biweekly each Thursday at 4pm Eastern through August 6th, we will host NSEA Together Social Hours. There will be no designated topics or presentation, rather it will be a space to simply connect, share, and support one another on our own journey’s to promote equality in our work as well as navigate the incredibly challenging landscape surrounding the pandemic – among any other topics membership would like to share. If available and willing, we encourage you to consider joining us by registering HERE.
